I keep trying to fucking help you and all you do is lie, lie, lie, lie. Fuck you. You should be fucking permabanned. Horrible, disgusting excuse for a human. You clearly don't want to become a better person, which is the only thing I have ever tried to make happen.

(1 edit)

Yeah, I was right, you're an asshole. You don't even realize how horrifically offensive you're being and yet you say I'm the one not being nice as if you didn't start it.

(1 edit)

No one could possibly interpret what you said in any other way unless they assume you were being sarcastic. It's not ambiguous. If you didn't mean what you said, either you were being sarcastic or you wrote it incorrectly.

The thing you said means "Polyamorous people are toxic because they cause other people to feel jealousy, and jealousy is toxic." It does not mean anything else. If you meant something else by it, your English is too bad to be writing a game in English.

(1 edit)

"Remember too much Jealousy is TOXIC! (We are a certified bitch with a class we don't play like a thot my brad'ah)"

...You do realize this makes them toxic, not us? Are you even reading what you yourself are writing?

I don't even need to start playing the game. I know you're an absolute fucking piece of shit asshole.

The scenes when talking to the cobra in his office. The entire text box is squished together.

I've also noticed that with some of the text boxes with shorter text, they're all readable, but your cursor can be outside the text box and an option is considered selected. I assumed maybe it just selects the first option by default, but that could also be a resolution issue, if the selection box is not the same size or location as the text.

Did you purchase it or is it the free version? 0.1.4 is the free version and 0.1.5 is the paid version, so... if you're using the free version, it was and still is 0.1.4.

Though, I'm on 0.1.4 and there seems to be almost nothing to do and I haven't found that scene at all, so my impression is that either you were on 0.1.5 from the beginning, or it's very difficult to find... EDIT: Ok, just very difficult to find. And also very much the wrong resolution. Cannot read the options.

Now that I've played a bit, I see that the combat system is win=top and lose=bottom (or at least, surrender=bottom; I haven't manually lost yet). If you surrender, the text describes you losing all your clothes and equipment, but... the next scene everything is still there, so you didn't actually lose anything. Considering I'm a bottom, is there a reason not to surrender? It feels like if you're a bottom you just always should.

I'm rather suspicious of this being 7z SFX. I know that isn't a guarantee of a virus, but it's a very easy way to hide a virus, because the compressed contents of a self-extracted file can't be scanned, unlike with non-self-extracting compression. Is there a reason you chose self-extracting compression?

You may want to consider reading posts before replying to them.

Alternatively you could trust that I asked the question for a reason.

I mean, it's been a long time since I played Adastra, but I can assure you that if it only had 6 choices I absolutely wouldn't have played it. And when I did, the only relevant choice was whether your name was wiped from the database or not.

(1 edit)

Is the fact that Adastra has hundreds of choices but only one of them matters -- multiple chapters later -- one of the inspirations?

So... things that are not removable? And that you start equipped with? So you can never do it under any circumstances? There is literally zero reason for the buttons to exist?

(1 edit)

K yeah this MC is a fucking asshole.

I'm also starting to think you are as well, since you apparently intended for Kyrex, one of the most well-adjusted characters in the entire fucking game, to be a problematic character.

(1 edit)

Ok, so this screen absolutely did not exist when I last played. I also don't recall MC saying to Eric before that he wanted a relationship with substance... if he did, I must have skipped past that mention. I didn't realize that was a set characteristic of the MC. Given that, I guess the reason I shouldn't play this game is that I can't relate to the MC. Like, this is not a choice I know how to make. I'm not interested in pursuing anyone romantically, and also not just one person.

Oh, okay. So the choices were made beforehand by Patrons, and this was just compiled from their previous choices.

I see. I guess I'll give it another try, and maybe this time I can avoid accidentally entering the Diego route without my knowledge. Perhaps I don't need to avoid the Diego route if I actually know I'm entering it; I think Diego just seemed ultra toxic because Diego was the only one who thought I was in an exclusive relationship with him, or even in a relationship at all. Maybe if it's more obvious now it'll be fine.

I'm confused. This is written like a CYOA, as you say, but it seems to be fully linear with the options already decided for us. Am I missing something?

(1 edit)

I asked this two months ago, with no response, but... since there is nothing more I'd want to do without an answer, and the update didn't provide a solution, I'm gonna ask again. What counts as a "restraint" for the Alex's trust exercises? Because I'm not wearing anything removable but it doesn't let me start it.

So I played this quite a while ago and had a rather negative experience with it. But I've been informed (admittedly from a somewhat unreliable source) that it has received quite a few changes since then, so I decided to read through a bunch of the comments and decide if I want to try it again.

And I think I discovered part of the reason my prior experience was so negative -- it seems I may have entered a route without realizing it somehow? Based on some of these comments, the bad ending with Kyrex is technically on the Diego route. Is this correct? If so, I,  uh... did not know I was on Diego's route. At all. I had no clue. That's why it was so incredibly weird to me that pissing off Diego was considered a bad ending, because I was in no way trying to get with Diego. And that's also why I thought Diego was so horrifically toxic, because he just declared that we were dating when, from my perspective, we most definitely were not. I haven't tried replaying it again yet -- maybe it's more obvious now when you're on a route -- but if not, it prooobably should be.

(1 edit)

Either they were vastly reworked since I last played or you are just straight trolling. Given I literally fucking said I haven't played them in a while and that could be a possibility, and I also never once changed my opinion, yet you said I'm "waffling," gonna assume it's the latter and block you.

I haven't played either of those in a long time, but I mean... as of when I last played them... Sileo certainly has some plot threads that are largely about sexual encounters, but not in a pornographic manner. Temptation's Ballad had exactly one mention of an actual sexual encounter by the time I stopped playing. Maybe it ramped up though, I have no idea.

So like... yeah, if you're including either of those with mere mentions of sexual activity as pornographic, I guess this is high on the scale? But I wouldn't consider either of them to be. Basically, our scales of what porn is seem to be sufficiently differently defined that something like Chord Progressions would be at the top of yours and the bottom of mine...

Among the ones I've played at least, this is very much on the low end of revolving around porn.

Funny, I was just thinking there is not nearly enough porn in this game and the new chapter only helps a bit with that.

Sounds to me you're looking at the wrong genre if you want less porn.

(1 edit)

...Okay. I'm really not comfortable with that. Like, at all. This has such major ramifications for the core nature of the player character that I'm not comfortable with it being subject to either change or interpretation. I guess, you do you, but... I can't play this anymore. Gonna have to uninstall.

Unless you have some involvement with this game that I'm not aware of, I'd prefer a response from the dev.

(1 edit)

I'm playing this again after there've been a few updates. I've just hit the Weary Soldier, and there's mention of Resnick having sex with women. Is Resnick canonically bisexual? Or is he supposed to be straight and we're "corrupting" him to want m/m sex?

Says the guy who couldn't figure out how to design a game using basic Harlowe. You don't know jack shit about programming, Fenrakk.

Considering the description is exactly identical and only the name is different, I'm not entirely sure it isn't just a mistaken copy/paste.

Version 0.2.0 isn't set up to be downloadable through the itch.io client. Not sure what changed, since it worked fine for the initial version. It's possible that your page being flagged caused this? I'm not sure.

As for the actual content of 0.2.0... it suffers greatly from plot holes. You can go to Greyhaven and ask about things you know nothing about yet, or see the Hunter transform and think nothing of it without having the knowledge that he can, because you don't have to complete the other arcs before entering Greyhaven, even if they did exist in the previous version.

Hm... perhaps it's just too early in development, but I really feel like I'm missing something. There are a lot of story threads and the partial sandbox element, as well as a trait map, but the actual progression seems to be fully linear. I don't feel like my choices actually matter, and there is rarely more than one location to go that actually has a real scene.

Well, I think I'm actually already well past the end of content. My question was more whether I missed any content that could have happened but didn't on my playthrough.

(1 edit)

It seems like there is potentially content that I can miss if I progress too quickly? I never got to see anyone come up to me before the tendrils became enemies. The knight storyline feels unfinished before he just vanishes. The thief also just vanished. Are there choices I could have made differently to complete some other storylines before getting involved with the Hunter being a party member? Or are those storylines just not finished in this demo?

Ok, with those hints plus some more experimentation I think I've figured out how it works.

Ok, I can tell I'm not figuring it out on my own at all, so I figured I'd ask. How does combat work? I don't even know where to begin with it.

Also, is there currently any NSFW content? Normally with these types of games I can easily access it by just surrendering, which... just makes me die and respawn.

It appears that if you enter the menu, there is absolutely no way to return to the game without restarting or loading a save. You cannot simply exit the menu. Is this intentional?
